On June 3, 2017 from 8:30am to 4pm, the Detroit Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) hosted an energy justice training and roundtable.
Dr. Tony G. Reames was the event’s featured lunch speaker. Other guest speakers included, Rob Kelter a senior attorney at the Environmental Law and Policy Center, and Melanie Santiago-Mosier the Low-Income Solar Access Program Director at Vote Solar.
The theme was “Using Civil Rights and Social Justice Activism as a tool for advocating for Energy and Environmental Justice.”
