On June 3, 2017 from 8:30am to 4pm, the Detroit Branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) hosted an energy justice training and roundtable.

IMG_1083Dr. Tony G. Reames was the event’s featured lunch speaker. Other guest speakers included, Rob Kelter a senior attorney at the Environmental Law and Policy Center, and Melanie Santiago-Mosier the Low-Income Solar Access Program Director at Vote Solar.

The theme was “Using Civil Rights and Social Justice Activism as a tool for advocating for Energy and Environmental Justice.”
